Chiropractic is based on the scientific understanding that our bodies are self regulating and self healing and by being in a natural and homeostatic state, the result is optimal levels of health, adaptability and vitality. Anytime you are not your best physically, mentally or emotionally, that is a sign that your body is not processing and adapting to life’s stressors optimally. Chiropractic care is about releasing the stored patterns of stress and tension in your body and in your nervous system so that your body can begin to function optimally, increase its adaptability to life and stress so you can return to a state of ease and balance . As your body returns to its natural state of balance and ease, you will begin to experience and enhance your health and quality of life for years to come.
Who Should Contact Life Potential Chiropractic?
We are committed to helping our clients get back their lives and life healthier and happier. Our specific approach to care focuses on releasing stored and memorized patterns of stress and tension within the body and nervous system. Clients that we work with are not seeking a “band-aid” or “cover up symptoms” approach to care. They are desiring to get to the root cause of the challenge or symptoms and allow the body to naturally return to a state of ease and health by releasing the stored patterns of stress and tension. If you are only looking for a “quick fix” or “can you crack or pop my back?”, we are not going to be the best place for you and will happily refer you to someone that is.
Do You “Crack” People?
There are 100’s of different techniques within the Chiropractic profession. As Chiropractors we work directly with the Nervous System, which includes the spinal cord and column. Our focus is to unwind and release stored patterns of tension throughout your body and nervous system so energy flows from your brain to every cell in your body allowing you to heal and function optimally Our gentle approach to care is focused on resting the tone and creating ease within your body and nervous system tone. As a result, this does not always involve a stereotypical chiropractic adjustment that may create a “cracking” or “ popping” sound.
Can I Get Adjusted Even Though I Don’t Have Pain, Anxiety, etc?
A simple fact of life is that we will all have to invest in our health at some point in our lives. There is not “sitting on the fence” Our bodies are either in a state of growth and adaptability or in a state of deconstruction and breakdown. There is no staying still. Some people are proactive with their health and do it on the front end and become progressive creating greater and greater levels of health, adaptability and vitality. Others are reactive when it comes to their health and wait until a problem, challenge or symptom shows up, waiting to take care of the problem on the back end when we get a tap on the shoulder with a diagnosis of a symptom, sickness or disease. The reality is, being reactive with your health and waiting for a crisis to happen ( or pretending that you will never have to address your health) is what creates a lot more stress, pain and cost in the long run. The choice is ultimately yours. We believe that the most important part of our health is maximizing the nervous system and improving your adaptability and residency to stress. When you are achieve high levels of balance and ease within your body and are connected throughout your nervous system you will become more resilient towards disease, more adaptable to stress and you will vastly improve your health, vitality and quality of life regardless of whether or not you are experiencing symptoms, aches and/or pains.
How Long Will It Take Me To Heal?
Every client that we work with is going to be different based upon their life experiences of stress, challenges and traumas that have been accumulated and stored in the body. As a general guideline, the more stress and trauma someone’s body has absorbed and how deep the stress, challenge or trauma was, the longer it will take for your body and nervous system to release and process the tension out of the body. During your consultation and assessment, your doctor will be able to give you timelines and an understanding on what to expect with your care.
What Should I Expect During An Adjustment?
Our unique approach to care is designed to help your body and nervous system release the stored and memorized patterns of stress and tension. To help achieve this process, you will be quietly laying face down on our specifically designed tables. Your doctor will assess where your body is holding on to patterns of stress and tension and will begin to adjust those areas by allowing the body gently release the stored stress. You may feel different sensations and feelings as you body releases and “let’s go” of the stress that has accumulated in your body. Your doctor will guide you throughout this gentle 10-15 minute session.
